PHPSimpl Framework

PHPSimpl on Google CodeA PHP framework for rapidly creating classes that mirror MySQL tables. The PHPSimpl framework comes with the basic functions to list, display and edit records from the database. I am the owner of this framework and maintain the repo and all additional features and bug fixes. On the team is three developers from my work in which we actively use the framework in a production environment on over 200 sites. The framework is expanding every day and adding features that actually add value to the web.

Hamtramck Federation of Teachers Local 1052

Mockup: Hamtramck Federation of TeachersA teacher union site dedicated to keeping union members up to date on news, initiatives, photo galleries and community outreach. Their current site is four years old and since then their initiatives have changed and their current site doesn’t reflect it. After re-evaluating their current site structure, server statistics and offerings. We created a new navigation that works better, changed the emphasis to more of a blog type with user feedback and an updated look. This site is currently in development and should be launched within the next month.

AutoCityImports

Design Prototype: AutoCityImports homepageAn eCommerce site dedicated to import tuner parts. The site was originally built in 2004 on top of the osCommerce shopping cart framework. This was beneficial at the time because we could get the site up quick but in the long run it has become a burden to sift through the never ending code base. We are hoping for a full re-write of the site to be launched this winter. It will have a greater emphasis on the user with greater community interaction.

JC Music Billing Application

J&C Music Internal Application MockupMy father runs a music instrument sales/repair/rental shop out of his house and although he does not have a need for a website he does need a billing application to keep track of customers, instrument and billing cycles. This was the first application I wrote starting out as a web developer way back in 2000 and was the first application I wrote in Rails. It allows him to see who needs to pay, print out invoices, track instrument stock and run reports to see how business is doing.
